The campaign on settler violence led by radical left-wing organizations and funded by foreign European NGOs, continues to spread.

Last Friday, military forces conducted a search in the unauthorized village of Khalat a-Daba, located near a firing range in the Southern Hevron hills. During the operation, soldiers found IDF uniform items, a hand grenade, and other items inside of a child’s backpack. One Arab man was detained on suspicion of possessing weapons but was later released.

Although this was entirely an IDF operation, radical left-wing organizations in the southern Hevron Hills quickly reported a settler attack on the village, including theft and abuse – claims that the IDF Spokesman strongly denied. All those present were IDF soldiers, and no evidence supporting the accusations of property theft was provided.

Nonetheless, the Ynet news site chose to support this narrative and published an article with the Arab residents' claims against the soldiers. Despite acknowledging that the individuals involved were all soldiers, the captions on the photos in the article read, "According to the residents, settlers vandalized their homes.”

Ynet also featured an Arab resident, Jaber Dababsa, who claimed to have witnessed the incident. An investigation by Hakol HaYehudi, uncovered that Dababsa was previously accused in a criminal complaint two years ago for threatening a Jewish hiker, telling the hiker that if he crossed through the area near the village, the Arab residents would murder him.

The IDF spokesperson said: "During an operation in Khalat a-Daba by the Judea Regional Division, IDF reserve forces searched several buildings for weapons. During the search, Hamas flags and military equipment were found. Inside one of the buildings, the force found weapons inside a child’s backpack. A suspect was arrested and transferred to security forces for further investigation. We are unaware of any incidents of jewelry theft or the use of violence by the soldiers."

Yesterday, Hakol HaYehudi published another article highlighting an incident of blood libel against Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria. In that incident, IDF forces followed tracks from a breach in a fence back to an Arab home in a nearby village.  Left-wing extremists quickly called the police, alleging that settlers had abused the occupants, when in fact, it was an IDF unit that had arrived on scene to investigate the Arab residents for trespassing.
