On Thursday Morning (Oct. 26th), two Jewish shepherds were attacked near the Rimonim community in Binyamin. Suddenly, from among the olive trees, five Arabs armed with clubs and axes emerged and brutally attacked the two Jews. One was seriously injured, while the second was moderately injured. The two were taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem for treatment. The attack took place under the guise of a nearby olive harvest. After the attack, the Arab assailants fled towards the village of Dir Jarir.
Yesterday, you may recall, just a few hours before the attack we sent an update on Hakol Hayehudi warning about violence and terror perpetrated by Arabs under the guise of the olive harvest. "This was a serious incident,” said Eliyahu Ohayoun, a local resident who was one of the first to arrive on the scene. "I identified the two injured Jews, one who had lost consciousness and was convulsing. The Arabs used the olive harvest to hide and then emerge with the element of surprise from among the olive trees and attack the Jewish shepherds," Ohayoun explained.
"The writing was on the wall. We warned the army that the olive harvest serves as a guise for attacks, but the IDF ignored us,” said other local Jewish residents. As mentioned earlier, yesterday we published an article detailing how Arabs exploit the olive harvest to collect intelligence on security procedures, identify potential entry points to Jewish communities, and attack Jews.
