Two years ago, terrorist Ahmed Alawneh was killed in a firefight with IDF forces in Jenin. Alawneh was an officer in the PA’s military intelligence and received military training in Pakistan.
In a video released at the time, Alawneh is seen firing at IDF soldiers along with several other terrorists before being struck by a sniper. The other terrorists in the attack escaped.
The report "Police by Day, Terrorists by Night" prepared by the Regavim movement published in March, highlighted and documented numerous terrorists who were concurrently employed by the Palestinian Authority and among those listed is the aforementioned Ahmed Alawneh, who was involved in numerous terror attacks and received military training in Pakistan.
It is now being revealed that Alawneh participated in the military training provided to PA forces in Pakistan, which HaKol HaYehudi recently exposed.
The HaKol HaYehudi investigation revealed the extent of the training at the military academy in Pakistan, which included advanced combat for an army.
It is believed that dozens of PA security forces have in recent years taken part in the two year training programing at the military academy in Pakistan. After completion of the training they are awarded a degree in military science and receive the rank of lieutenant.
The training program includes practice with missiles, artillery, heavy weapons, paratroop training, and more.
Some participants also go through several months of training in various specialist fields, including at the Pakistani Maritime Academy.
During the training the participants wear Pakistani military uniforms with an insignia labeling them as the "Palestinian Army."
It appears that most of the participants are from the "National Security" forces, which serve as the core of a future PA army alongside other forces- the Internal Security Forces, the Police, Military Intelligence, the Presidential Guard of Abu Mazen, and the Civilian Defense which includes firefighters and the forces responsible for coordination with Israel.
Defense estimates suggest that the combined manpower of the PA security forces include sabout 40,000 armed men.
